Empowering and educating our people on making more sustainable choices, both at work and at home.

While most of our impact is outside of our direct operations, we are empowering and educating our people on making more sustainable choices, both at work and at home. Since 2022, we have been part of Net-Zero Challenge, a sustainability engagement programme tailored for small and medium-sized organisations.

With easy-to-do actions that make a difference and help the planet, we can compete against our colleagues for monthly prizes and other businesses in our sector – making positive impact more fun!

To-date, we have recorded over 6,000 sustainable actions with over 50% of our people engaged in the programme. This equates to over 7,000 CO2te avoided, 4,554 miles travelled sustainably and 1.5million litres of water avoided.

We believe in providing new learning opportunities for our people, and we are pleased to announce 12% of staff have undergone or are in the process of completing professional qualifications and apprenticeships in 2024.

We strive to add value to and have a positive impact on our local communities, continuing to offer all our people up to two days’ paid time off to volunteer for a cause of their choice. We’ve made this as accessible as possible, with our people having the option to volunteer by the hour if they want to.

We actively encourage all our people to dedicate 5% of their working week to personal learning and development. This time is set aside for exploring new skills, broadening knowledge and investing in professional growth, via dedicated learning platforms.
