AND POSITIVE IMPACT
We also know our efforts to decarbonise can only take us so far, as we wait for new technologies and solutions to emerge. For unavoidable emissions, we continue to support a range of carbon removal projects including:
Water purification systems using solar energy in India
Household adopting the WADI method by placing bottles under sunlight for safe drinking water.
Improving the provision of safe water in the Gambia
Carbon credits allowed the rehabilitation and maintenance of a solar powered water supply scheme in Touba Pakala, Central River Region of The Gambia. Communities have increased access to safe water and in addition, a group of women have a connection that enable to facilitate irrigation and increase their garden production and livelihoods.
Improve clean cookstoves distribution in Rwanda
Collection of improved cookstoves.
We plan to offset more than our total emissions again for the 2024 calendar year. At the point of writing this report, we are investigating projects that will have a positive societal impact beyond sustainability gains.
